Healthcare Assistant Job Description
As a Health Care Assistant, you will be working closely with core staff and external agencies to provide support to vulnerable people in residential/care settings.
Ideally you will have some experience supporting vulnerable people, whether this be professional or personal. Skills in personal care and moving and handling are desired. If you have no experience but a genuine passion for caring full CPD accredited training will be provided.
*Please note that you must be over the age of 18 due to the nature of the vulnerable people we support*
Main duties and responsibilities:
Maintain a safe, clean and enjoyable environment for clients to live in
Administer medication when required
Follow care/support plans and risk assessments
Promote equality and acknowledge individuals needs and differences
Provide physical support with personal care including washing, dressing, drinking and general mobility
Encourage the development of personal skills through recreational activities and hobbies
Write accurate reports and able to communicate verbally and written.
Keep up to date with company policies and procedures
Ensure all care needs are met to the highest standard

Requirements:
Valid enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain a new one **- fees apply
Full Driving Licence is preferred for this role
Right to Work in UK
Covid Pass (double vaccinated)
Be aged 18 or over in line with national minimum standards
Please note: To work in a CQC registered care/residential home from 11th November 2021 it is a requirement that the post holder is fully vaccinated against Covid-19 unless medically exempt.
